I believe each patient is unique and treatment needs to consider their special family, social, and environmental factors in addition to their medical conditions. My goal is to treat patients in a caring, compassionate way, but also address difficult topics to help them realize the importance of their health.
I am very passionate about obesity medicine. My elective rotation gave me exposure to all aspects of obesity medicine as I worked with bariatric surgeons, bariatricians, psychiatrists, dietitians, and exercise physiologists. I also study obesity medicine research.
I joined Kaiser Permanente in January 2012.
Originally from India, I moved to England with my husband, then came to the US in 1999. I work with my husband, who is a bariatric surgeon. I have a daughter in medical school, as well as a son. My hobbies are spending time with family and friends, travel, and movie-watching. My personal philosophy is life is too short and one should live to the fullest in a healthy way.
