As a Kaiser Permanente surgeon and physician, my goal is to educate and help patients understand their health conditions and guide them in making the right treatment decision. Obesity is a chronic disease with a variety of metabolic and physiologic disorders, which has a significant impact on the patient’s overall health and quality of life. Our Bariatric Surgery Program team offers a multidisciplinary approach for obesity treatment. In addition to weight loss surgery, our team provides resources to help achieve successful weight loss and lifelong maintenance.
I am specialized in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. I use these techniques to perform surgery with small incisions, which can provide patients with less postoperative pain and earlier return to their work, school, and normal life activities.
I joined Kaiser Permanente Richmond in August 2015.
I was born and raised in Southern California, but traveled north to attend UC Berkeley. This was the first time I was exposed to the culturally vibrant East Bay region. I am excited to have returned and made it my home. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, and exploring new hobbies, such as fishing and woodcarving.
