Pandu Yenumula, MD

My philosophy of care is to provide world-class and compassionate care with respect and dignity every single time. I strive to provide excellent care and treat all my patients as if they are my family members. Bariatric surgery has been my passion and I want to help individuals fighting one of the most common diseases — severe obesity. In my view, bariatric surgery can treat multiple medical problems with a single surgery.

Along with bariatric surgery, my area of surgical interest is minimally invasive surgery. I have advanced training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery and trained under world leaders in bariatric surgery and minimally invasive (also called laparoscopic) surgery from the University of Pittsburgh and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.

My wife, also a doctor, and I both joined Kaiser Permanente in 2012.

I was born in a small village called Akaveedu in India. I have one son and a daughter. My daughter is also in the medical profession. I play tennis and also ski.
