As a bariatric surgeon, I feel fortunate to assist our patients through their weight loss journey and guide them in making healthier life choices. My philosophy is to involve my patients in every aspect of their surgical care by providing them with all the necessary information needed to make an informed decision. I believe the Kaiser Permanente model delivers the most efficient health care to our members by providing focused, collaborative care.
In addition to bariatric surgery (gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, or adjustable gastric banding), my clinical interests include advanced laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of hernias, acid reflux, diverticulitis, or cancer.
I joined the Department of Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Fresno in 2012. During this time, I have grown to love and appreciate the Central Valley and all that it has to offer.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, swimming, playing the piano, and spending time with my family. In addition to English, I am also fluent in Farsi.
